Jio has been offering the best recharge plans since the day it started to charge for its data. Not only does it offer a good network connection, but the add-on facilities available with Jio is simply awesome. But, since last year, Jio has increased the price for mobile recharge and started to charge extra for Jio to non-Jio calls. However, you would agree that even though other operators offer the unlimited calling facility, they charge way more than Jio. If you are a normal customer, you would probably not feel the need to recharge with additional talk time.
However, the topic of discussion is about 4G data, and Jio definitely prevails here. Here are some of the Jio recharge plans that offer maximum data under Rs. 500.
- 1 GB daily data cap (Rs. 149 plan) – Instead of listing the plans in order of the maximum data offered, it makes sense to list them in order of the daily data cap. This is the cheapest of all the recharge plans available from Jio. It is also the only plan that offers 1 GB of the daily data cap. You get a validity of 24 days from this recharge. You can make unlimited Jio to Jio calls, but the Jio to non-Jio FUP has been limited to 300 minutes. It is low but this limit seems quite manageable. If required, you can add some talk time or choose a different option. With 3 recharge of Rs. 149, the maximum data you can get through these plans is 72 GB.
- 5 GB daily data cap (Rs. 199 plan, Rs. 399 plan) – Jio could have definitely priced the 56-days valid Rs. 399 plan a little better. It is Re. 1 more than double the amount you need for recharging for a validity of 28 days. Both of these plans offer a daily data cap of 1.5 GB. While the Jio to non-Jio FUP is limited at 1000 minutes for Rs. 199 plan, Rs. 399 plan offers just double of that – 2000 minutes. As you could already guess, you could definitely go for a much better option than the Rs. 399 plan. So if you choose a 1.5 GB daily data cap, the maximum data you can get is 84 GB.
- 2 GB daily data cap (Rs. 249 plan, Rs. 444 plan) – 249 plan offers a validity of 28 days, while Rs. 444 will get you a validity of 56 days. While the former offers 1000 minutes of Jio to non-Jio FUP, the latter offers double that. This has certainly been priced better. You will save exactly Rs. 54 if you recharge for the 56-day validity plan. Not only that, if you were looking to get the maximum data under Rs. 500, your best bet is the Rs. 444 plan. The maximum data you can get is 112 GB.
- 3 GB daily data cap (Rs. 349 plan, Rs. 401 plan) – Both these mobile recharge plans have a validity of 28 days and will get you Jio to non-Jio FUP of 1000 minutes. There is only one difference between these two plans. The latter would get you Disney + Hotstar VIP subscription and an additional 6 GB of data. So the maximum data you can get through a 3 GB/day daily data cap under Rs. 500 is 90 GB. Use the Airtel Payments Bank website if you are trying to save some money through cashback.
The next time you do a Jio recharge, you will be much better informed.
